A year or so ago, a grandmother asked me if I could make a vacuum design applique for her grandson.  He was obsessed with vacuum cleaners.

She wanted to applique a vacuum on a blanket for him.  So I made her this...

Ever since, it's been one of my favorites.  A couple of times a year, someone will buy it-- and it's always for a little boy.  Thinking of all these little boys and their vacuum cleaners always makes me smile.

I have the grown up version-- he's still willing to vacuum. :-)
